Who we are

Recognizing the crucial role of capacity building, NWRC prioritizes collaborative and interdisciplinary initiatives to empower professionals with skills, knowledge, and tools for sustainable water practices. In 2022, NWRC evolved its strategic vision by establishing the Water Science and Engineering Services unit, later restructured into the Capacity Building Unit (CBU), aimed at coordinating training programs and supporting national development and Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) objectives. The CBU’s mandate is to enhance capacity in line with national plans and SDGs, ensuring NWRC’s pivotal role in addressing water challenges and fostering sustainable development.
