Today, Thursday, March 28, 2024, the Capacity Building Unit of the National Water Research Center, held a webinar on “Economics of Green Buildings”. The webinar was presented by Prof. Dr. Salah El Haggar – Professor of Energy and Sustainable Development at the American University in Cairo. The webinar discussed the development of sustainable building practices and their significant impact on the environmental and economic aspects. The financial and environmental advantages of sustainable buildings were also presented, highlighting the sustainable benefits that these buildings provide.
On the other hand, the activities of the Egyptian Green Building Society (Egypt GBC) were presented, its pioneering program “Tarsheed” to certify green buildings and communities, which aims to promote sustainable building practices throughout Egypt.
